All who have been following my weekly video posts might have seen my Backyard Session – A day w/ Van Homan that I posted the week of 1.22.13. If you did you heard my good friend Brendan Canty’s new band Deathfix. Brendan is one of the greatest punk rock heroes of all time and has blessed me with scoring my “Birth of Big Air” film and inspired me with his and his Dischord family’s music my entire life.
After I posted this short vid with Van & I Brendan asked if I would be interested in expanding that edit into a full length music video for thier song “Better than Bad”. So I rolled around with a couple cameras and threw this together of sort a “day in the life” to the Deathfix goodness.

Matt is constantly on the road so catching him at a short stand still can be difficult. We were able to get an afternoon with him in his home town of Chicago. The weather was threatening what time we had so we came up with a plan quick and got going. Matt pushed through some of his hardest stuff with the stress of a time crunch like a true professional. And boy was it a treat to watch. We were able to get what Matt wanted filmed and got back to the car just as the first drops were landing. Too perfect.

Mick has been stacking clips for various projects lately, he is well known for his burly rail skills but can also jib with the best of them so there is some moves in this you may not expect from Teddy but I think it shows how diverse his riding is becoming .
